Sit the test on screen, get the marks back fast.
A unit test used to mean a day waiting for the paper to be typed and printed, then a week for it to come back with a number in red pen. When your school runs exams on Gurukul you sit it in the browser, the MCQs are marked the moment you submit, and the result lands in your portal - with the corrections.

During the exam
A timer you can trust and answers that save themselves
The exam opens fullscreen with your remaining time counted from the server. Answers are written away every few seconds, so the two things students actually worry about - losing time and losing work - are both handled.
- Countdown computed server-side, immune to clock changes
- Progress saved continuously and restored on reopen
- Auto-submits cleanly when the window closes

After the exam
A result you can actually learn from
Once results are released you get more than a total: every question with your answer beside the correct one, the marks each was worth, and your teacher's remark on the written questions. The corrections arrive while the chapter is still fresh.
- Your answer and the correct answer, side by side
- Marks awarded per question, not just a total
- Teacher remarks on written answers

How it works
From your teacher setting it to your marks landing
Your teacher sets the test
They pick the chapters, generate or reuse a paper, and set a window and duration. A surprise test can go live the same period it is decided.
You take it in the browser
Open it from your Exams page, work through the questions in any order, and submit when you are done - or let the timer submit it for you.
Marking happens
MCQs and other objective questions are marked the instant you submit. Written answers get a first pass from AI and a final decision from your teacher.
Results reach you
When your teacher releases results you get a notification, and your score plus the full answer breakdown sits under Exams from then on.
The paper test cycle
A week between sitting a test and learning anything from it
By the time an answer script comes back, the chapter has moved on. You get a number in red pen, no clear sense of which questions cost you marks, and no chance to fix the misunderstanding while it still matters. A surprise test is rarely a surprise either - printing gives it away.

How the exam runs
Built so a technical problem never costs you marks
The exam hall is the part that has to be right. Everything below exists because a frozen laptop, a dropped connection or a closed tab must not turn into a zero.
Timer runs on the server
The countdown is computed server-side from when you started, so changing your device clock or refreshing the page cannot buy extra time - and cannot lose it either.
Autosaves constantly
Every answer is written to the server as you go. Close the tab by accident, reopen the exam, and you resume on the same question with your answers intact.
Answer in any order
Jump between questions freely, skip the hard one and come back, and see at a glance how many you have answered out of the total.
Never a silent zero
If you never make it back to the exam, it still submits and still marks your objective answers when the window closes. An abandoned paper is scored, not zeroed.
Every kind of assessment
Unit, weekly, monthly, class, surprise, pre-board and terminal exams all run through the same hall - your school picks the type and the settings follow.
Yes. Online exams are set by your school, so they appear only when your school runs exams on the Gurukul platform. Everything else - Vidya, practice quizzes, the exam planner and the reading coach - works whether or not your school has signed up.
